Spain is one of the most interesting countries in the Superyacht Sector with a very split personality. Several well established companies are building production yachts in the 20 to 30 metre range such as Viudes, Rodman and Astondoa. At the opposite end of the spectrum are shipyards focussed on some of the largest yachts being built in the world. Shipyards such as Friere, Astilleros Armon, Astilleros Zamakona and other mainly commercial shipyards are specialising in huge custom projects at the very highest levels of quality. Renaissance being the most notable recent example. With a long established and well developed commercial ship building industry delivering highly technical specialist vessels it should come as no surprise that when considering options for 100m plus yachts, Spain should certainly be on the list. While Spain does not immediately spring to mind when considering the most prestigious yacht building nations but make no mistake they produce some huge extremely high quality yachts.
