Southern Wind’s flagship SW120 yacht, available for 2026 delivery, blends performance, luxury, and customisation. Designed with Farr Yacht Design and Nauta Design, this 36.58-metre vessel features advanced composite construction, multiple deck options, and bespoke interiors. Ideal for cruising, racing, or chartering, the SW120 epitomises innovation and seaworthiness in sailing yachts.

Southern Wind Shipyard, renowned for its expertise in crafting semi-custom performance sailing yachts, has announced that its flagship model, the SW120, will be available for delivery in 2026. This 36.58-metre vessel represents a significant evolution in the shipyard's range, building upon the success of the SW96 and SW105 models. The SW120 is the result of a collaboration between Southern Wind, Farr Yacht Design, and Nauta Design, aiming to deliver a yacht that seamlessly blends comfort, performance, and reliability.

The SW120 offers a versatile semi-custom platform, allowing owners to tailor specifications to their unique preferences. This approach provides the benefits of a series build, such as enhanced reliability and cost-effectiveness, while granting the flexibility typically associated with fully custom projects. The yacht is available in three distinct deck configurations: Raised Saloon, Deck Saloon, and the new Gran Turismo (GT) version. The GT configuration features a sleek carbon fibre coachroof with an integrated skylight, flooding the saloon with natural light and offering panoramic views.

Performance is a cornerstone of the SW120's design. Naval architect Farr Yacht Design has developed a multipurpose hull that can be optimised for various uses, including long-range cruising, competitive racing, or luxury chartering. The yacht's construction utilises advanced composite materials, including a Corecell composite sandwich with carbon/epoxy resin skins, ensuring a lightweight yet robust structure. This design facilitates exhilarating sailing experiences with the capability to be managed by a limited crew.

The interior, crafted by Nauta Design, combines functionality with elegance. Owners can choose from various layouts, including the traditional four-cabin arrangement with a forward master suite and aft crew quarters, or opt for a full-beam master cabin aft with direct access to the stern cockpit. The spacious saloon and guest areas are designed to provide comfort and luxury, making the SW120 suitable for both private use and charter operations.

With delivery scheduled for 2026, the SW120 stands as a testament to Southern Wind's commitment to innovation and quality in yacht building. This flagship model offers a harmonious blend of performance, comfort, and customisation, catering to discerning owners seeking a yacht that embodies both luxury and seaworthiness.
