Surama
Silhouette and Seascape
Surama is a 40.7m ketch-rigged sailing yacht, built in 1997 by Royal Huisman and designed by Ted Hood. Extensively refitted in 2017 and 2019, this yacht offers a balance between performance sailing and luxurious comfort. Accommodating 8 guests across 3 cabins, she is ideal for long-distance cruising with a trans-oceanic range of 5,000 nautical miles. Surama combines craftsmanship, thoughtful upgrades, and elegant interior design, ensuring a world-class experience on board.
A powerful and elegant design.
Surama's exterior showcases Ted Hood's renowned naval architecture. The aluminium hull is equipped with carbon booms, in-boom furling, and OYS standing rigging for superior sailing performance. Her teak decks are spacious, featuring both guest-friendly areas and efficient sail-handling stations. The deck layout includes a large cockpit for alfresco dining, sunbathing areas, and a custom crane for easy tender deployment. Her dual centreboard keel ensures access to shallow waters while maintaining optimal performance for long voyages and regattas alike.
Warmth and luxury meet modern functionality.
Designed by Andrew Winch, Surama’s interior exudes elegance, with a modern yet inviting feel. Neutral fabrics and light teak woodwork create a warm, spacious atmosphere. The split-level main salon offers panoramic views, providing a luxurious setting for relaxation and dining. The full-beam owner’s suite includes a private study and direct cockpit access. Two guest cabins, both en suite, have Pullman berths, offering flexible accommodation for up to eight guests. This refined interior design is perfectly suited to long-term cruising in style.
