Calypso
Silhouette and Seascape
The Calypso is an exquisite 61.5-metre (202 ft) motor yacht built by Amels in 2003 and meticulously refitted in 2017. Designed by the renowned Terence Disdale, she seamlessly combines classic elegance with modern luxury, offering a refined onboard experience. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she reaches a top speed of 16 knots and cruises comfortably at 13 knots, with a transatlantic range of 5,000 nautical miles. This makes her an excellent choice for both private escapes and charter potential. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure ensure durability and stability, while her well-thought-out layout maximises comfort and space. Calypso’s history of careful ownership and consistent upgrades enhances her appeal, making her a standout yacht in her class.
Refinement, Luxury and Performance.
Designed with both style and functionality in mind, Calypso features elegant lines and a balanced profile that remain timeless. Her expansive deck spaces offer multiple areas for relaxation and entertainment, including a generous sun deck with a Jacuzzi and a shaded al fresco dining area. The swim platform provides easy access to the water, perfect for enjoying the yacht’s extensive collection of water toys. Large panoramic windows throughout the yacht flood the interiors with natural light while maintaining a seamless connection with the ocean. The refit in 2017 modernised many exterior elements, ensuring she remains contemporary while retaining the pedigree of Amels’ superior craftsmanship. Whether hosting guests for an evening under the stars or enjoying a quiet morning at sea, Calypso’s outdoor spaces are designed for pure enjoyment.
