The Italian Sea Group
A Group of Visionaries
The Italian Sea Group burst on to the superyacht building scene in 2009 when it took on the Tecnomar shipyard, a long established name in the Italian port of Carrara. A few years later Admiral joined the group and a pattern of acquisition and development unfolded. Heavy investment, shrewdly guided, saw the company’s growth explode as it expanded it’s premises and workforce and applied more forward thinking business practices to the traditional business of yacht building. State of the art facilities, focus on customer experience, provision of outstanding crew facilities and a “not yet seen” focus on the entire yacht building journey from A to Z ensured they picked up an enviable order book in record time. Some early inexperience was quickly remedied and The Italian Sea Group started building high quality yachts, with yachts LOA growing up to and exceeding 100m plus. The group is now a publicly traded company and it builds every type of yacht under it’s various brands, which now include Tecnomar, Admiral, Picchiott and Perini Navi and Tecnomar for Lamborghini. For an unparalleled customer experience visit The Italian Sea Group’s headquarters, in Carrara. Here there are two of the largest private dry docks in the entire Mediterranean: a 200 meters long basin and a second 147 meters long dock inaugurated in November 2021. A second facility of TISG is located in Viareggio and a third one in La Spezia. With a combined area of more than 244,000 square meters, The Italian Sea Group has 18 production sheds, two of which have dry docks, over 1500 meters of berth, a 3,300-ton floating barge and a keel pit in La Spezia. The VILLAGE, built inside the Headquarters, is a structure reserved for employees, captains and crews who offer them the opportunity to monitor all the activities in progress in comfort.
