Alloy Yachts, founded in 1986 and based in New Zealand, was renowned for its custom-built luxury sailing yachts that combine craftsmanship with innovation. Alloy Yachts specialized in aluminum construction, offering mostly sailing yachts that were both lightweight and durable. Each Alloy yacht was meticulously designed and crafted to provide spacious living areas, state-of-the-art technology, and superior sailing performance. Alloy Yachts' last new builds were the Como, Hey Jude, and Mondango 3, all completed in 2014. The shipyard worked with some of the world's most well-known yacht designers, including André Hoek, Ron Holland, Ted Hood, and Philippe Briand. Alloy Yachts also made and supplied boarding passerelles, platforms, and jacuzzis. The shipyard closed due to a decrease in demand for large sailing yachts and a challenging time for New Zealand exporters. Alloy are included here as their fleet of existing is still very sought after and sill regarded as a benchmark Marque today.
